Description
Wrap up warm and come for a walk out at the beautiful Lake Hawea (15 minutes from Wanaka) and learn how to identify, harvest and work with local wild plants as food and medicine.
During the walk we will cover:
- The abundance of local wild plants that are available to forage in the Wanaka area, even in the middle of winter.
- The fundamentals of foraging/wildcrafting and how to respectfully harvest, store and preserve wild plants and fungi.
- The nutritional and medicinal attributes of each plant or fungi that we find on our walk.
